Wedding Budget – How To Save Money

Organizing a wedding can be very stressful at some points, so it’s important not to get lost in the dark and to stick to your budget list. Many hidden costs may appear here and there, so it’s important to save on everything you can. This doesn’t mean that you should look for DIY bouquets tutorials – it simply means that people tend to spend too much money unnecessarily.

• Set your priorities

Decide what are the three most important things on your budget list – and allow yourself to allocate extra money for these things (for example, catering or similar “big things”). Also, pick the three things that have the lowest priority for you (invitation design can be a good example), and set the budget for them accordingly.

• Cut the guest list

The fastest way to save money is to cut the guest list. This doesn’t mean that you should only call the people necessary to witness your wedding in the eyes of the law, it just means that you should think about inviting a relative or friend you haven’t heard from in a decade.

• Say no to expensive details

Glamorous details can spice up the overall look of your wedding, but think whether you really need them. Will your guest pay attention to these specific details? Probably not, because the focus will be on you and your partner. Don’t fall to the temptation to spend money on unnecessary details.
